Choosing the correct underlay is very important when you install your new floor. If you are looking for a quality underlay at a competitive price, our VLOK Laminate and Wood Flooring Underlay is the best choice for you.
All underlays are cheaper to buy compared to the wooden floors. The more advanced underlays will help make your home healthier, quieter and will outlive your chosen floor covering.
Compared with other similar foam materials the performance of IXPE is excellent. Especially for environmental protection, sound insulation, cushioning, lifespan, water proof properties and thermal insulation. This would work well with underfloor floor heating and cooling systems.
The Best Sound Insulation Foam
VLOK Laminate and Wood Flooring underlay is the best sound insulation product in the flooring underlay. IXPE is a premium acoustical underlay made up of sound dampening high-performance foam. The IXPE foam is a cross-linked polyethylene foam. The surface is smooth and flat because it is constructed from very fine cells.
Quick and Easy Installation
Our VLOK Laminate and Wood Flooring underlay has an overlap film and adhesive strip, therefore the installation quick and easy. It smooths out irregularities in your subfloor to ensure your floor stays even for the best finish.
The IXPE foam core does not soak up moisture preventing the growth of mould and mildew but also has a pre-attached vapour barrier to further prevent from rising damp. The overlapping film is for extra moisture protection at the joints. It will give you piece of mind when installing your floor covering.
Why we need a laminate or wood flooring underlay?
Most of us have walked on a laminate floating floor and commented on the rather annoying clicking sound that tends to emanate from the traffic. Traditional foam underlay will help to somewhat reduce this noise. More sophisticated sound control underlay like VLOK Laminate and Wood Flooring underlay will be much more effective.
For thinner Laminate and wood flooring we suggest to use our VLOK 3000 underlay and thicker engineered wood or laminate floors best with VLOK 4000 underlay.
