Floors are one of the main design elements in the house and can define the character of your home with simple choices of colour, texture and style.
There are many different method of installation; glue down, floating and nail down.
Glue down installation
This method for wood floors involves using a quality adhesive that we apply directly to the subfloor before laying the floor covering. This method is suitable on either wood or concrete subfloors. If we use this method, we make sure there is no rising damp. One of the great things about gluing your wood floor is that the end result is really stable.
This means that your floor isn’t fixed to the subfloor. It is either glued in each joint or held together by a locking system on an underlayment. This way of fitting is well suited to engineered wood flooring and is highly popular as it is a quick process, cost effective and it is less likely to expand and contract.
